JBBAL Herefords and Red Angus is a family operated registered Hereford and Red Angus ranch in Gooding, Idaho (south Central Idaho). My parents, John and Bev Bryan, purchased their first registered Hereford heifers in 1967 – truth be known, they were an anniversary gift from dad to mom. As they say, the rest is history. In 2012, Red Angus genetics were added to the ranch.Dad passed away in 2013, but his legacy lives on through his grandchildren and his cattle. We have 4 generations on the ranch now – my mother Bev, my husband James and I, our son Bryan and his wife Charly and their daughter Annie, and our daughter Jae and her son Zohnni.
We offer spring yearling Hereford and Red Angus bulls as well as heifers through Private Treaty Sales. Occasionally we have steers available for purchase as 4-H and FFA projects in the fall. James is an Independent Sales Representative for Genex, ST Genetics and Alta. James, Bryan and Jae are AI Technicians and we provide custom AI services in the area. Bryan and Charly have a trucking company – Malad River Ag – and haul cattle locally as well as commodities. We finish animals that don't make the replacement or bull sale pen and sell them as locker beef locally. We also farm, raising silage corn, alfalfa and various grains. We sell hay in ton and two- string bales.
